[Numerical Recipes Upgrade Files]

Thanks to special permission from Cambridge University Press, we are able to bring you, free, the complete Numerical Recipes books in C and Fortran 77 On-Line, in both PostScript and Adobe Acrobat formats!

To utilize this resource, you will need either a PostScript compatible viewer (such as the freely available Ghostview and Ghostscript), or else a PostScript capable printer, or an Adobe Acrobat reader (also freely available), or a WWW viewer capable of directly interpreting Acrobat files.

Note: The PostScript files are substantially shorter than the Acrobat files, and thus download much faster. However, the Acrobat files have better (more scalable) fonts for screen viewing, or for printing on non-PostScript printers. Keep these tradeoffs in mind when deciding which format you want to try.
